Lane Swimming On Wednesday 7 December 2016

There will be no open water swimming only lane swimming will be available at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre on 7th December 2016 between 11.00 am and 2.30 pm. We shall be running Float Fit Come and Try Sessions during this time. If you are interested in taking part please contact the reception team on 0131 551 2400.

Our 25 metre, eight lane pool is popular with swimming clubs or if you're new to the water, we have Beginners' sessions where you can gain confidence and learn different strokes. More confident swimmers can develop their technique and fitness at our Stroke Development classes. Adults of all ages, including those over 60 years, are welcome. 

Children are well catered for at Ainslie Park with coaching and activities for all ages - they can splash off some energy in the pool or pursue their dream to be a footballer, dancer or karate black belt.

Children will learn new skills, meet new people and stay healthy with our range of classes. Starting young, our Gym Nipper classes are open to toddlers from 18 months. From 3 years, our coaching includes athletics, trampolining, football, ballet and short tennis. School-age children can try options from hip hop and cheerleading to judo and karate.

While your child is booked into one of our programmes, it's a great opportunity for you to stay active and take advantage of reduced prices in our pool or gym.

Our seasonal holiday camp is run by experienced leaders to help make the most of every child's day. Activities vary but kids will have huge fun taking part in games, sports, craft and drama. Keep the kids active and entertained and give yourself some peace of mind during the holidays.

The swimming pool area has a separate small pool for younger children which is ideal for a safe and fun introduction to the water. 

Work out in our recently refurbished gym with a choice of over 50 pieces of hi-spec kit with cardiovascular, resistance and PowerPlate equipment. 

We have over 60 fitness classes for those that like the motivation of a structured session and our dedicated cycle studio also runs high-energy classes. 

Or you could do your own thing and hire a badminton court or football pitch in our sports hall.
