The swimming pool at Leith Viccies is the ideal place to embark on a fitness regime. If you're new to the water, we have Beginners' sessions where you’ll gain confidence and learn different strokes. More confident swimmers can develop their technique and fitness at our Stroke Development classes.  Adults of all ages – including 60 years + – are welcome. 

First Steps Swimming

This project was set up to address health inequalities in Leith, and there are several activities aimed at different parts of the community. 

Residents of certain postcodes in North East Edinburgh are eligible for a First Steps Discount Card. This card will allow free access before 4pm to swimming and gym for the first six months and for £1 for the rest of the year. Speak with staff at Leith Victoria Swim Centre to check if you are eligible.

We offer a range of swimming lessons for kids that cater for all levels and ages. Starting young, we have our pre-school lessons for children aged 3.5 to 5 years. Followed by our Beginners, Improvers and Stoke Development classes.

Kids will learn new skills, meet new people and stay healthy. While your child is booked into one of those programmes, it's a great opportunity for you to stay active and take advantage of reduced prices in our pool or gym.

Work up a sweat in our large, modern gym with over 50 pieces of equipment including cardiovascular, resistance and PowerPlate equipment. 

Our fitness studios offer over 30 types of adult fitness classes for those that like the motivation of a structured session and we've recently installed the latest Matrix IC7 bikes into our dedicated cycle studio adding an exciting new cycle-based class.
