Our ten swimming pools around the city offer modern aquatics facilities and changing areas. Many also offer a sauna, jacuzzi or steam room and you can relax in the café with a healthy snack. Be sure to check out the authentic Turkish Baths at Portobello Swim Centre. Pools are open early until late with flexible session times so dip in when it works for you.

Adult to Child Swim Ratios
Please note that the following safety ratio guidance applies at all of our swimming pools. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff.
Under 5 - One adult to one child. Or; one adult to two children if they both wear armbands
5 to 8 years old - One adult to two children with or without armbands
Mixed Ages - One adult to one under 5 and one 5 to 8 years old if the under 5 is wearing armbands
Aquadash runs at the weekends and during school holidays (unless we have an event running)
New blocks are released one month in advance on the 1st of every month (e.g. June sessions are released on 1st May). Have a look at the Aquadash site to see what's available.
Please note - the whole month can sell out very fast!

Water-based exercise classes
Take the pressure off. Our fitness classes in the water provide an effective low-impact workout (without straining the joints) - great for all ages.

Interested in becoming a lifeguard, swim teacher, dive/swim coach or first aider? We are proud to offer a range of courses open to everyone.
Many of Edinburgh’s local aquatics clubs use our swimming pools for their coaching sessions.
Women Only sessions at Leith Victoria Swim Centre
Come along and join our women only activities every Saturday throughout the year. Our times are designed to give you the opportunity to enjoy both sessions - why not start with Zumba's funky music and moves from around the world, then cool off in the swimming pool afterwards or relax in the steam room and sauna?
