Our ten swimming pools around the city offer modern aquatics facilities and changing areas. Many also offer a sauna, jacuzzi or steam room and you can relax in the café with a healthy snack. Be sure to check out the authentic Turkish Baths at Portobello Swim Centre.
Pools are open early until late with flexible session times so dip in when it works for you .

Learn to swim
We have swimming lessons for all ages. Our swim teachers are fully accredited and follow the Scottish Swimming 'Learn to Swim' programme.
Swim for fitness
If you’re looking to perfect stroke technique and improve fitness in the pool, our range of swim fitness classes are designed for you.
Water-based exercise classes
Take the pressure off. Our fitness classes in the water provide an effective low-impact workout (without straining the joints) - great for all ages.
Swim and dive education
Interested in becoming a lifeguard, swim teacher, dive/swim coach or first aider? We are proud to offer a range of courses open to everyone.
Many of Edinburgh’s local aquatics clubs use our swimming pools for their coaching sessions.
