Ball Sports
We welcome a variety of team sports on a regular slot or for an occasional game at our indoor and outdoor courts, pitches and halls which are available for hire to clubs and groups. With indoor and all-weather courts and sports pitches at our venues across the city, bad weather is no excuse!
Basketball
From shooting to dribbling, lay ups to free throws: there’s plenty of fun to be had on the court. This fast-paced game is a great way to hone skill and accuracy
Cricket

Rugby
Grass pitches are available in 9 locations across the city.

Hockey
The Olympic game of hockey with curved sticks and short corners is a great fun activity for a one off game, regular fixture or for team training on the pitch or indoors.
Netball
Perfect pivots and speedy chest passes are just part of this fast-paced ball game which is a great way to be active and socialise at the same time.
Volleyball
Serve, pass, set, attack, block and dig in this fun athletic team sport that’ll have you burning up the calories at our indoor courts.
Football
We have outdoor pitches throughout Edinburgh in both grass and astroturf for 5, 7 and 11-a-side and some venues with floodlighting so you can play outdoors all year round.
Prefer to play indoors? Our halls are set up with goals and very popular for smaller groups of 5s with faster play and more chance for a touch of the ball - hire a hall for some lunchtime dribbling or a get together with friends.
