We support older adults to stay active and connected in later life, offering a range of fun, sociable and low-cost activities led by friendly trained Active Communities staff and volunteers.

Being active gives you an instant wellbeing boost and helps you live life to the full.  It enables you to keep doing what you love for longer, and can help you to maintain your health, mobility, and independence. It's a great way to meet new people and have fun.

Our Active Communities team provide a range of fun and sociable activities which help you to be and stay active in later life.  We’ll help you find an activity that’s right for you.

Steady Steps

We support adults who have had or may be at risk of having a fall, to improve their strength, balance, and mobility. Our fun and sociable classes are led by specialist instructors and help people build their confidence and live a fuller, more independent life.

Movement for Memories

We support people living with dementia to be active through personalised one-to-one support.  This includes activities such as swimming, gym sessions, golf, tennis and fitness classes.

Full Fitness Membership

Over 65s can enjoy unlimited access to all our gyms, pools and a huge variety of fitness classes across the city.

Swim Only Membership

Over 65s get access to our swimming pools across the city to practice your stroke, enjoy a relaxing swim or unwind in our saunas and steam rooms.

Golf Membership

Over 65s can enjoy discounted membership when you sign up to play at any of our six courses by paying annually or monthly though direct debit. 

Climb + Full Fitness Membership

Climb + Full Fitness gives you the flexibility of our Full Fitness membership and unlimited use of the climbing wall and bouldering facilities at EICA Ratho.

If you don't want to commit to a monthly membership, our Discount Card offers discounts on a huge choice of sports and leisure activities for 12 months.

Receive a reduction of up to 20% off a selection of pay-and-play activities, such as swimming, gym, fitness classes and both badminton and tennis courts.
