By Bus: Services by Lothian Buses 44, 63
By Bike: Balerno can be accessed by bike by following the water of Leith cycle path.
By Car: If you are driving from Edinburgh City Centre, Balerno is about 30 minutes (9miles). Take the A70 to Bridge Road in Balerno (5.7 miles). At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Colinton Road. Turn right onto Craiglockhart Avenue and go about .4 mile. Turn left onto Lanark Road A70 and go about 4.5 miles. Continue onto Bridge Road.
By Train: Services by Scotrail
On Foot: Balerno High can be accessed via the main road on Bridge Road.
