How to Get Here
Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct bus route to the EICA, but the Lothian Buses service 20 will take you to the town of Ratho. Get off at the stop opposite The Bridge Inn and from there you can walk along the canal towpath to EICA in around 15 minutes.
The great thing about being right next to the canal is how easy it is to get here by bike. If you’re coming from Livingston, Uphall and Broxburn, you can get here by following the Union Canal to Muirend and then on to Cliffton Mains.
If you’re coming from Edinburgh, then you can cycle from Fountainbridge, past Longstone and over the City Bypass all the way to Ratho.
Before setting off, make sure you have your sat nav directed to Edinburgh International Climbing Arena: Ratho. You can get here from the west via the M8, from the south via the A1, A68 OR A720, from the southwest on the A71, from the north via the Forth Road Bridge on the M90 and the northwest via the M9.
