Public Dive Sessions and Dive Coaching
Dive in and join the fun at the Royal Commonwealth Pool with our outstanding, dedicated dive area. The Royal Commonwealth Pool has a diving pool and dry dive area with a range of facilities including:
- Spring boards - 1m and 3m
- Dive platforms - 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m
- Video view
- Dry land dive facility featuring trampoline, tumble track, diving boards onto crash mats, somersault boxes, wall bars and stretching area
Public Dive
Supervised Public Diving Session (All boards)
These sessions are specifically designed to allow you to enjoy the use of our diving boards under the watchful eye of a qualified coach who will give you expert advice on how to dive safely, starting with the 1m boards. The coach will assess whether you are ready to progress up to the higher platforms and ensure the safe use of the boards throughout your session. Simply turn up and get going! You must be confident in deep water.
During these sessions, you may also be able to take part in lane or casual swim if sessions are running in the pool (subject to availability).
Public Diving Sessions (1m and 3m springboards)
These sessions are the perfect opportunity for you to practice your diving on the 1m and 3m springboards. Simply turn up and dive. You must be confident in deep water.There is no need to book into Public Dive sessions, simply check the pool timetable for session details and come along!

Whether you are looking to build confidence in the pool or perfect your technique our enthusiastic team will help guide, support and encourage you to achieve your goals - fast. Our lessons are open to all ages and abilities, although the swim 1-2-1 session times are more suitable for adults.

Prices are £25.30 for a 25 minute session or £50.50 for 50 minutes. Bookings can be made up to a week in advance (or 8 days in advance if you have a membership card).

We offer coaching for all ages, beginning at Primary One, with our experienced, qualified coaches at the only diving facility of its kind in Edinburgh. Here are some of the benefits you will get from diving in with us:
