Snakes & Ladders fitness challenge
We’ve taken this much-loved board game and given it an Edinburgh Leisure twist!
We’ve taken this much-loved board game and given it an Edinburgh Leisure twist! All you need is a dice and a space to move around and complete exercises such as jogging on the spot, high knees, planks and star jumps. To make it more interesting, we’ve added ladder challenges. You can do these with no equipment, but you can also use badminton racquets, footballs, shuttlecocks and tennis balls if you have them.

Gym JAMS preschool gymnastics session
If you’re looking for gymnastics activities for the little ones, look no further! The team at Gym JAMS have created a virtual class to keep your kids on their toes – all you need is some safe open space for the exercises and a cuddly toy to help with the session.
Jump in with British Gymnastics-qualified preschool gymnastics coaches and tutors with a class focussed on movement, flexibility, balance and, most importantly, fun! Classes also focus on jumping and landing, fine motor skills and coordination, with a cool down at the end to make sure participants stretch and recover properly.
Grown-up supervision is recommended.

Dip into our swimming bingo game for a fun-filled family activity!
Our pools may be temporarily closed, but you can still keep them close to your heart with our printable swimming bingo game! All you need is a hat to mix up the cards in and one designated Bingo Caller to help run the game for the other participants.

Keep the kids entertained with RLSS activities
You can still teach kids important water safety lessons away from the pool, thanks to this excellent pack of activities from the Royal Life Saving Society UK. Each day, they'll be posting challenges and games to keep the little ones on their toes. You can also enter their Rookie competition for a chance to win a free month's membership to the RLSS UK's Lifesaving Academy.

We're also pleased to be bringing you a swimming crossword, so you and the family can stay connected to the pool from home. Choose from well-known swimming terms and try and guess all the words in a fun-filled puzzle.
Bath time fun and games
Young children can lose confidence if they've been out of the pool for a while and become uncomfortable having water on their faces. So we've got some bath time games to help make their return to the water easier.
From kicking and scooping to simple breathing, there's lots of fun you can have in the bath to improve water confidence and basic swimming skills. Try out some of these games next bath time and bring a little piece of Edinburgh Leisure swim coaching into your home.
