Meadowbank Sports Centre

Meadowbank Sports Centre is the home venue for SPFL League Two football club Edinburgh City, the SWPL women’s team Hibernian and East of Scotland league side Leith Athletic – with matches taking place on the Stadium Pitch, typically on Saturdays and Sundays.

Royal Commonwealth Pool
All our other facilities and programmes will operate as normal during events unless specified. However, the venue and car park are always extremely busy while events are running, so please take this into consideration when planning to visit us.
SASA Dive Levels – Saturday 24th January 2026
- All dive coaching will be on as normal, however the Public Dive session at 1630 will be cancelled
East District Age Groups Swim Meet – Saturday 31st January & Sunday 1st February 2026
- All pools are closed throughout, and all swimming and diving lessons are cancelled
- A limited Dive Squad programme (dry land) will operate – the dive team will advise customers directly regarding this
Scottish National and Open Diving Championships – Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th February 2026
Thursday 5th February
- The dive pool will close between 1600 and 2000 and dive lessons falling within these times are cancelled.
Friday 6th – Sunday 8th February
- The dive pool and dry land facility are closed throughout
- All public dive sessions, diving lessons (including Dry Dive Gym classes); and Dive Squad sessions are cancelled.
- The Main and Teaching pools will operate as normal on each of the above dates, and swim lessons are unaffected.
East District Age Groups Swim Meet – Saturday 7 to Sunday 8th March 2026
- All pools are closed throughout, and all swimming and diving lessons are cancelled
- A limited Dive Squad programme (dry land) will operate – the dive team will advise customers directly regarding this
Edinburgh International Swim Meet – Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th March
Thursday 12th March
- Main Pool (only) closes at 1230 and no casual or lane swim will be available from that time.
- The Teaching and Diving Pools remain open, and all coaching runs as normal.
Friday 13th – Sunday 15th March
- All Pools & Studio 3 closed throughout
- Friday’s Pre-school Dry Dive Gym class takes place as normal; all other Swimming and Diving lessons are cancelled
- A limited dive squad programme (dry land) will operate – the dive team will advise customers directly regarding this
- We will look to relocate as many of our fitness classes from Studio 3 as is possible – see the website for details nearer the time.
SASA Dive Levels – Saturday 21 March
- All dive coaching will be on as normal, however the Public Dive session at 1630 will be cancelled
City of Edinburgh Schools Swimming Gala – Thursday 26th March
- Main Pool will be closed between 0800-0900 and 1230-1330 to allow set up and recovery time before and after the event.
- No 50m swimming will be available between these times; the pool will however be open for 25m casual swimming (2m deep) from 0900 – 1230.
- Dive Pool is closed 0900 – 1225 and Aquafit 0950 and Hydrospin 1045 are cancelled.
- The teaching pool will be open as normal, as are our other facilities.
