Meadowbank Sports Centre is an iconic Edinburgh venue, hosting a range of memorable events. Whether you are looking to organise a large sporting event, a trade exhibition, a team meeting, or something completely unique, we have the versatile space to accommodate your requirements.

Football at Meadowbank
Meadowbank Sports Centre is the home venue for SPFL League Two football club Edinburgh City, the SWPL women’s team Hibernian and East of Scotland league side Leith Athletic – with matches taking place on the Stadium Pitch, typically on Saturdays and Sundays.
What’s On at Royal Commonwealth Pool
All our other facilities and programmes will operate as normal during events unless specified. However, the venue and car park are always extremely busy while events are running, so please take this into consideration when planning to visit us.

| Teaching Pool Maintenance | Wednesday 8th – Sunday 12th April (07.30-17.30) | Family Swim and Relaxed Swim will be cancelled. We will be offering additional shallow water casual swimming (1.25m) in the main pool on 8th & 9th April, however unfortunately we cannot accommodate weak or non-swimmers on 10th & 11th April. There is no public swimming on 12th April. Fitness classes have been relocated where possible. See online timetable/app nearer the time for details. | There are no lessons scheduled for Wednesday 8 – Friday 10 April: click here for full details of term dates. Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th – All Swim Baby, Toddler and Nippers classes are cancelled both days. Swim Preschool and Skills 1 classes at 08.00 and 08.15 on Saturday are also cancelled, as is the Adult Beginners class on Sunday at 10.10. Other classes have been relocated and you will receive an email and text message with more details. |

Victorian Pool Crawl – Monday 6th April
This Easter Monday spectacle will see 75 people walking 16 kilometres and swimming up to 1km in all five of Edinburgh Leisure’s Victorian pools in a single day to raise vital funds for our Active Communities programmes, supporting people of all ages in Edinburgh who face barriers to leading healthy, active, lives.
Please see the below timetable for the expected route and timetable changes. Please be advised this may be subject to change, depending on the progression of the event as participants work their way through the route.
Whilst all other venue facilities will remain open as usual excluding the pool, sauna and steam rooms (where applicable), we would recommend visiting an alternative Edinburgh Leisure venue’s pool where possible if you intend to visit the above mentioned venues around these affected times. Ainslie Park Leisure Centre and the Royal Commonwealth Pool will both remain open as normal and are located conveniently to the city centre.
