Starting something new can feel a bit daunting — that’s completely normal. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
Whats included?

🏃 Running tracks at Saughton and Meadowbank
All supported by friendly staff and modern equipment

How to get started
Not sure which class to choose? Start with what sounds most enjoyable.

Option 1: Start with a Gym Visit
If you’d prefer to go at your own pace, the gym is a great place to begin.
You can:
- Do a short cardio session (treadmill, bike, rower)
- Try a few simple strength machines
- Keep it light — even 20–30 minutes is a great start
👉 Tip: Prefer a quieter gym? Try early mornings, mid‑day, or later evenings when it’s less busy

Option 2: Join a Gym Class
Prefer more structure? Try a class.
We run 250+ gym-based classes every week, and they’re suitable for all fitness levels — our instructors will guide you and adapt exercises where needed.
Some popular options include:
- Gym Blast / Circuits – full-body workouts using a mix of equipment
- HIIT & Cardio Blast – higher-energy sessions to boost fitness
- Strength & Conditioning – build strength and confidence
- Learn to Lift – perfect if you’re new to weights
- Core & short sessions (Fit 30) – quick, focused workouts
