We have been taking a significant refurbishment of our health and fitness facilities which are expected to be completed by 2026. These improvements will include a range of upgrades designed to modernise the venue, ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, welcoming environment for all:
- Refurbished swimming pool with diving, lane, casual and family swimming
- Large gym with state-of-the-art weights and cardio equipment
- Extended daytime public operating hours
- Improved accessibility including a new step-free entrance, spacious accessible changing facilities and high-technology poolpod for easy access to our pool

Free 6-Month Casual Swimming Pass
Thanks to Summer of Sport funding, children from 5 to 15 can enjoy 6 months of free casual swimming if their parent or guardian receives Universal Credit.
This subsidised coaching offer is available for 6 months from date of issue, helping more children stay active, build confidence and develop new skills throughout the school year. A limited number of passes are available so don’t wait!

In partnership with the Secondary High School, the Leisure Pool, Gym, Sports Hall and 3G Pitch provide locals and visitors with ample opportunities to get active. Bookable activities at Wester Hailes include fitness classes, badminton  and table tennis.
Whether you are a member or simply visit on Pay as You Go, you’ll be able to access and enjoy all the activities available at Wester Hailes.
