Planned Refurbishments at Wester Hailes High School – Swimming Pool currently Closed

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the experience for our members and the local community, we are pleased to announce a significant refurbishment of Wester Hailes High School’s facilities. The renovation work will commence on March 31st 2025 and are expected to be completed by Summer 2026. These improvements will include a range of upgrades designed to modernise the venue, ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, welcoming environment for all. We are confident that these changes will enhance the overall experience for everyone.

The main entrance, reception and pool facilities are temporarily closed. Our Gym, Fitness Classes, Outdoor Sports and Games Hall remain open.

Coming Soon – Wester Hailes High School Full Reopening Summer 2026

We have been taking a significant refurbishment of our health and fitness facilities which are expected to be completed by Summer 2026. These improvements will include a range of upgrades designed to modernise the venue, ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, welcoming environment for all:

  • Refurbished swimming pool with diving, lane, casual and family swimming
  • Large gym with state-of-the-art weights and cardio equipment
  • Extended daytime public operating hours
  • Improved accessibility including a new step-free entrance, spacious accessible changing facilities and high-technology poolpod for easy access to our pool
