Planned Refurbishments at Wester Hailes High School – Swimming Pool currently Closed

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the experience for our members and the local community, we are pleased to announce a significant refurbishment of Wester Hailes High School’s facilities. The renovation work will commence on March 31st 2025 and are expected to be completed by 2026. These improvements will include a range of upgrades designed to modernise the venue, ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, welcoming environment for all. We are confident that these changes will enhance the overall experience for everyone.

Coming Soon – Wester Hailes High School Full Reopening 2026

We have been taking a significant refurbishment of our health and fitness facilities which are expected to be completed by 2026. These improvements will include a range of upgrades designed to modernise the venue, ensuring that we continue to provide a high-quality, welcoming environment for all:

  • Refurbished swimming pool with diving, lane, casual and family swimming
  • Large gym with state-of-the-art weights and cardio equipment
  • Extended daytime public operating hours
  • Improved accessibility including a new step-free entrance, spacious accessible changing facilities and high-technology poolpod for easy access to our pool

Free 6-Month Casual Swimming Pass

Thanks to Summer of Sport funding, children from 5 to 15 can enjoy 6 months of free casual swimming if their parent or guardian receives Universal Credit.

This subsidised coaching offer is available for 6 months from date of issue, helping more children stay active, build confidence and develop new skills throughout the school year. A limited number of passes are available so don’t wait!
