As you know, the City of Edinburgh Council decided to postpone the introduction of £35 per hour non-core hour charging in August 2018 until a full impact assessment was completed.  Following their online survey and consultation meetings, a report was tabled to the Education, Children & Families Committee on 11th December. As a result, we have received confirmation that the £35 per hour charge for non-core access will not be implemented.

Accordingly, Edinburgh Leisure will continue to apply the Council’s scale of charges for extended lets and casual activities, which is reviewed every February as part of the Council’s budget setting process for implementation every August.

We are sure you will be delighted with this decision but, as always, if you have any questions about your charges please contact 0131 458 2100 or school& - we’re happy to talk through any queries.
