Our multi-station gym gives you access to the high spec modern kit you’d expect such as treadmills with integrated TV screens and iPod docks, cross trainers, rowers and resistance machines and this is combined with some of the latest innovative exercise technology - ViPR, Power Plate, TRX and Kettlebells - to give you an exciting and interesting programme. If you prefer to workout in a group, we offer a number of gym based classes which are easy to fit in to a busy schedule, even if you have only 30 minutes to spare before work or fancy a lunchtime blast.

Our friendly fitness team here at the Commie are highly qualified and experienced - training athletes from across the sporting spectrum to supporting customers with medical conditions to aid a recovery to health.Whatever your ability, age or goals, our job is to to make you feel good and keep you motivated so let's get started.

Gym based classes
These range from 20 to 30 minute express workouts, cross trainer classes to circuit classes, helping you fit in a workout around a busy schedule. Gym Options for Young People
If you’re from S1 to age 15, you can still use the Royal Commonwealth Pool’s gym. In our NRG Zone sessions, you can learn to use the gym with expert instructors in a structured and safe environment. Once you’ve completed a minimum of five sessions, you can become accredited in our gyms to work out with minimal supervision.If you’re not interested in doing this, you can do one of our Youth Circuit classes, which you can drop into without getting accreditation.
