Edinburgh Leisure reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel sessions where necessary for operational, safety, or other unforeseen reasons.
Free Football at Meadowbank Sports Centre
Free Football sessions are available to young people aged 11 to 18 years.
Participation is free of charge.
Sessions operate on a drop-in basis, and no advance booking is required.
Participants must comply with any instructions provided by Edinburgh Leisure staff and coaches during the session.
Go For Gold! Free Sports Days for Kids
Standard Edinburgh Leisure booking terms & conditions apply.
The ‘Get August free’ offer is available exclusively to new participants who attend the “Going for Gold” Taster session at Meadowbank Stadium on Thurs 30 July or Drumbrae Leisure Centre Fri 31 July 2026.
To qualify, participants must enrol in a coaching course within 6 days of attending their taster session.
This offer applies only to coaching classes included in the Coaching Tasters campaign listed on the campaign website.
Offer is available to customers who have previously been in Edinburgh Leisure’s coaching programme but is not available to customers who have left after 1 June 2026.
No cash value alternative, substitutions, exchanges or transfers allowed.
Free Junior Golf Camps at Craigentinny Golf Course

Please ensure you have your booking reference which you will find on your confirmation email.
The golf camp is suitable for children age 5-12 years.
We retain the right to refuse entry to any activities should your child’s age fall outside the ones detailed above.
Golf camp spaces are valid for City of Edinburgh residents only and postcodes for the parent or guardian must fall into the following categories: EH1 to EH17, EH28 to EH30 special codes EH77, EH91, EH95, and EH99
No refunds will be given, this is a free camp.
If found not suitable no alternative product will be offered in place of the camp.
Items such as, but not limited to, mobile phones and tablets should not be brought to the Holiday Sports Camps and lessons.
Edinburgh Leisure shall not be responsible for the loss or damage to any such device.
In order to keep our holiday sports camps for all, children are expected to be polite, courteous and co-operative to staff and other children at all times. In the unusual event of unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, hitting or aggression towards other children our staff will deal with this fairly and discuss it with it with you when you are collecting your child at the end of the day.
Persistent unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in you being called to arrange immediate collection of your child and possible exclusion from further participation in the camp sessions.
All children who attend our holiday sports camps must be toilet trained. Children will be taken to the toilet but must be able to go independently, with no nappy changing available.
All children 8 years old and under must be signed in and out of camp.
Children 9 years and over may with the written permission from their parent/guardian, attend the camp unaccompanied. Their arrival and departure time will be recorded by camp staff. Edinburgh Leisure’s preferred option is for ALL children regardless of age, to be signed in and out of camp by a parent/guardian.
The above terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of Edinburgh Leisure.
Subsidised Coaching
Once subsidised spaces are full, remaining classes are available at the normal price; Edinburgh Leisure does not hold waiting lists.
Subsidised bookings are paid by monthly Direct Debit at 20% of the full activity price.
Subsidised spaces are available for children aged 3–12.
Eligibility depends on the parent/guardian receiving one of the listed benefits, including Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related ESA.
Proof of eligibility must be uploaded through the application link and will be verified by the Edinburgh Leisure team.

Subsidised bookings are limited to one per child.
Subsidised coaching does not apply to 1:1 coaching, 1:4 coaching, adult coaching, diving squad classes or bolt-on options.
If a class level change affects the price, the subsidised payment may change, but access to the subsidised space will remain.
The subsidised lesson arrangement runs until 31 March 2027, with future options to be shared before then.
Six-Month Free Casual Swimming Pass
Once subsidised spaces are full, remaining classes are available at the normal price; Edinburgh Leisure does not hold waiting lists.
Free swimming passes are allocated on a first come first served basis in venue until all 500 passes have been claimed. No waiting lists are held by Edinburgh Leisure.
Free swimming passes will be valid for 6 months from the date of application in venue.
Free swimming passes are available for children aged 5 -15 years old, for a child to be eligible for a subsidised pass the application process must be completed in venue by their parent or guardian, who is in receipt of the following-
Universal credit (must be dated in the last 2 months)
Free swimming passes are valid for City of Edinburgh residents only and postcodes for the parent or guardian must fall into the following categories,

EH28 to EH30
special codes EH77, EH91, EH95, and EH99
Visual proof will be required; this will be verified via our Edinburgh Leisure team at Front of House.
Free swimming passes are limited to one per child.
Free swimming does not apply bookable sessions (Family Fun Sessions, Aquadash, Swimming Lessons etc) and is only valid for Casual Swimming Sessions.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure they check individual pool timetables for casual swimming session availability at each pool venue.
Swimming ratios for children age 5 – 9 must be followed at all times,
Under 5 – One adult to one child with or without armbands or one adult to two children with armbands.
5 to 8 years old – One adult to two children with or without armbands.
Mixed ages – One adult to one under 5 and one 5 to 8 year old if the under 5 is wearing armbands.

Extended Open All Hours
Open All Hours is available to young people in S1 to S6.
Participation is free of charge.
Sessions operate on a drop-in basis, and no advance booking is required.
All participants must complete a registration form.
A registration form will be provided by the Youth Work Team during the participant’s first attendance.
The registration form must be completed and signed by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult and returned at the participant’s next visit.
Continued participation may be restricted if a completed registration form is not returned.
