Scrambles at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena is one of our three soft play venues at Edinburgh Leisure. It offers wonderful adventures for kids aged 0 – 10 with designated baby, toddler and junior play areas.
Open 7 days a week from 09.00 except Wednesdays, where we open from 10.00.
Festive Opening Hours
As we approach the festive period, we would like to remind all customers that our venue opening hours will differ slightly from Wednesday 24th December to Monday 5th January.
Please make sure to check out our Festive Opening Hours information when planning your visit.
Please note: all venues will be closed on 25th & 26th December, and again on 1st & 2nd January (except from the Royal Commonwealth Pool).

Scrambles has a large separate baby area with standalone play frames for toddlers (18 months -3 years) and juniors (4 – 10 years) that are easily viewed from our soft play cafe. All our play frames will help your child towards the next stage in their development through play. With equipment designed to challenge all ages, they are sure to have fun!
Enjoy a coffee and a cake in our Café Refresh while your child plays freely in our securely gated area.
Scrambles Soft Play also offers customers free wi-fi, free parking and we are registered as breastfeeding friendly.

Scrambles is located within the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena at Ratho.
The venue provides extensive on-site car parking facilities.
Public transport options are limited but services by Lothian Buses Bus 70 runs from the Gyle Centre and Hermiston Park and Ride. Please get off at the Canal Centre bus stop (then cross the bridge and walk 1 mile along the north side of the canal NCR754) Bus connections to Edinburgh City Centre are available from both the Gyle Centre and Hermiston Park and Ride
Cycle along NCR754 passing the union canal from Edinburgh and West Lothian. Bike racks are available on-site by the main entrance.
