The wait is almost over! This December, Edinburgh's newest Olympic-standard bouldering walls are launching at our climbing arena, bringing a whole new level to EICA. Designed for experienced climbers, these walls complement our existing facilities, offering even more opportunities to push your limits and refine your skills.
With this launch, EICA becomes the UK’s only venue with all three Olympic standard facilities —bouldering, lead, and speed—all under one roof. Get ready for routes that will inspire and challenge you!

About Our Bouldering Refurb Project
Renovations at EICA began in June with a £100,000 grant from sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund. The upgrade introduces an Olympic-standard bouldering wall, designed by Rockcity, making EICA the only UK climbing center equipped for all three Olympic disciplines: lead climbing, speed climbing, and bouldering.
As the UK’s largest climbing gym and its sole international competition venue, the arena can now fully support events across all IFSC disciplines
