Investing in Edinburgh’s Fitness Future: Warrender’s Gym Transformation

Investing in Edinburgh’s Fitness Future: Warrender’s Gym Transformation

Edinburgh Leisure is committed to creating spaces that inspire movement and make fitness accessible for everyone. Our latest investment? A major gym refurbishment at Warrender Swim Centre which we completed in December 2025.

Why the Upgrade?

As part of Warrender’s venue lifecycle, the gym equipment had been reinstalled after reopening – but over time, it aged and no longer met the needs of today’s members. After listening to customer feedback, we closed the gym on 30th November for a full refresh, focusing on improving the availability of popular kit and creating a smarter, more functional layout.

What’s New?

  • Next-generation cardio: SE4 console machines with on-demand workouts, wireless charging, and immersive terrain experiences on 16″ and 23″ screens.
  • Fresh strength equipment: All-new Insignia fixed machines in sleek charcoal frames with black upholstery.
  • Smarter layout: Lower body strength and cardio in the lower gym, upper body resistance and racks in the middle, and a dedicated dumbbell room at the rear with five benches and cable stations.
  • New flooring and branding: A refreshing look and feel for a better training environment.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just about new machines – it’s about making your workout experience smoother, reducing wait times and creating spaces that motivate you to keep coming back. Combined with our city-wide offerings like Les Mills classesWorkout of the Month, and health consultations at Drumbrae – these upgrades help you stay consistent and achieve your goals.

See It for Yourself

Drop into Warrender, explore the new setup and book your next session via the Edinburgh Leisure app. Better spaces mean better results – and this is just a small step in our commitment to investing in Edinburgh’s wellbeing.
