How to Book Activities with Edinburgh Leisure

A Step-by-Step Guide for Booking Classes, Courts, Sports, and More

Introduction

Whether you’re looking to join a fitness class, enjoy a family swim, book a round of golf, or reserve a court for tennis, badminton, or squash, this guide will walk you through every step.

You’ll find instructions for booking all of our different activities via our website and app, along with helpful tips to ensure a smooth experience.

Step 1: Setting up your booking account

Before you can book any activity, you’ll be required to create or login to your Edinburgh Leisure booking account.

Existing Users

If you already have an Edinburgh Leisure Active Card, are an Edinburgh Leisure member or have created a Pay as You Go account, we will have automatically set up an online booking account for you.

Please check your spam/quarantine folder for any emails if they have not been received.

If you still did not receive an email, please complete this form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

If you need help unlocking or setting up your online account please complete the forms at the bottom of this page.

Activate your Account

Your account needs to be activated by setting a password. Go to the ‘Book Now‘ section of our website, and click ‘Forgotten Password’.

Enter the email address we have on record for you and we’ll send you an email with instructions to activate your account.

Forgotten Password

If you have simply forgotten your password, follow the same process; visit the ‘Book Now‘ section of the website and click ‘Forgotten Password‘.

We’ll send you an email with instructions to reset your password.

Not Sure

If you’re not sure if you have an active booking account with us, go to the Book Now page of our website, enter the email address you think we have on our records for you and click ‘Forgotten Password’. 

After 15 minutes you should receive an instruction email from us in your inbox

New to Edinburgh Leisure

If you’re new to us, sign up for a Membership or an Active Card for pay as you go bookings at this link https://edinburghleisure.gladstonego.cloud/site-finder

Choose your local venue to get started and follow the instructions to sign up. After signing up you will receive your Member ID and details on how to set up your online booking account.

Step 2: Booking your Activity

Edinburgh Leisure wants to make booking as simple as we can for your customers.

You can book your activity through a series of different channels. All of our activities are bookable via the website or app, although some activities are booked via different booking systems.

The booking journey varies depending on the type of activity you are looking to book:

  1. Scheduled or Timetables classes
  2. Unscheduled activities such as court hires
  3. Ticket or Event based activities such as AquaDash, Holiday Clubs or Birthday Parties

Scheduled or Timetables classes

Thgese are timetabled activities and includes all of our fitness classes, gymbased classes, our bookable swim sessions, e.g. Family Fun Swim, and our scheduled social sports classes.

Unscheduled activities such as court hires

These sessions are not scheduled or timetabled – customers choose when they wish to do the activity. This include Golf Tee Times and our court bookings for activities such as tennis or squash as well as basketball, netball or 5-aside football.

Ticket or Event Based Activities

Our ticket-based activities are booked via the website using our Roller booking system.  

These include activities such as

  • Birthday Parties
  • Clip n Climb
  • AquaDash
  • Trackman Golf Simulator
  • Holiday Clubs
  • Holiday Coaching
  • Climbing Courses

Booking a Scheduled or Timetabled Activity, e.g. a Fitness Class

Scheduled classes, activities and sessions can be booked via the relevant Venue or Activity page timetables on our website OR directly from our GoBook booking system

This includes all of our fitness classes, gymbased classes, our bookable swim sessions, e.g. Family Fun Swim, and our scheduled social sports classes.

Navigate to the specific venue timetable or activity page you’re interested in.

Each venue page has a relevant timetable for each area of the facility: Gym, Pool, Fitness Classes and Sports where you can search and select the session you would like to book.


The venue or activity timetable will display the availability of the session, the location of the session and, if relevant, the name of the instructor.

Browse the available classes or swim sessions, select your preferred time, and click the Book Now button for the appropriate session on the timetable.

Follow the on-screen instructions to Book your place in the session and make payment if required. If you have not already done so you will be required to login to your booking account. 

Make sure you use the email address associated with your account.

Each activity page for a fitness or gym class displays the sessions in a timetable which can be viewed by Date format like below which will show all the sessions available at all of our venues

Or you can choose to view this timetable by Venue in which case you can see all the sessions at the particular venue you wish to visit

Click the Book Now button on these timetables and you will be taken to our GoBook system, and follow the instructions on-screen.

Hiring a Court or Booking a Tee Time  – how to book non-Scheduled Sports and Activities

Non-scheduled activities are sessions where the customer chooses the time they wish to do the activity.

These sessions are not scheduled or timetabled and include court bookings for activities such as tennis or squash as well as basketball, netball or 5-aside football.

Our Golf course tee time bookings are also made via the GoBook system.  

Activities where the user selects a time to book are not shown on the website timetables but are bookable directly from the GoBook booking system and can be booked at any time that the facility is open and there is availability.

You can follow the link above or click the orange ‘Book Now‘ link on the top menu of our website to book these activities.

Direct links to our GoBook booking system can also be found on the relevant activity page.

Follow the link to the booking system and customers can select their venue and sport, then pick an available time slot for the activity.

Customers will be required to login to their booking account in order to complete the transaction.

Booking via our Roller booking system – AquaDash, Clip n Climb, Trackman, Birthday Parties, Holiday Clubs and Courses

Our ticket-based activities are booked via the website using our Roller booking system.  

These include activities such as

These non-scheduled activities can be booked at any time that the facility is open and there is availability, or at set times when the activity or course is operating.

These activities are bookable directly from the website via our Roller booking system.

Visit the relevant activity page on the website for what you would like to book and you will be directed to our Roller booking system in order to see availability and select your time slot.

Follow the on-screen instructions on Roller to complete your booking.

Booking via the App

You can also book classes and sessions using the Edinburgh Leisure app. Download the app from your device’s app store for Android or iOS, then log in with your account details.

Select the venue on the app at which you would like to book a session.

Browse the tiles for the relevant class or activity and then scroll through the list of times and sessions. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your booking and make payment where necessary.

Helpful Hints and Troubleshooting

  • The email address you enter must match the one we have on record. If you don’t receive an email within 15 minutes of clicking ‘Forgotten Password’, check your spam or quarantine folders.
  • If you still haven’t received an email, fill in our online form and we’ll get back to you promptly.
  • If more than one person uses the same email address (for example, in joint memberships), each account will need a different password.
  • Your Member ID is found in your welcome email. If you can’t find it, contact us using the online form for assistance.

How do I unlock my account?

To ensure the security of your account if you enter your password incorrectly 3 times you will be locked out of your account. For security reasons we have to manually unlock your account for you.
