Home Fitness & Workout Tips

Our facilities may be temporarily closed to the public, but that doesn't mean you can't stay fit and healthy at home. Follow these fitness and lifestyle guidelines as best you can while we're away and you'll be ready to make the most of your Edinburgh Leisure experience when we reopen.

Nothing beats a live class delivered by our fantastic team of instructors. Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily close our facilities due to the Coronavirus, but we’d like to say thank you for being loyal to us by supporting you to staying active with free Les Mills On Demand workouts. We look forward to welcoming you back to our live classes once this passes.

Our fitness class partner Les Mills have provided us with free digital workouts for our customers to use at home. This is free to use, it has over 95 workout options across 8 categories and we hope you find it easy to use and follow the visual cues. It won’t automatically collect your data and it will remain available as long as the disruption from Coronavirus continues.

We hope this free offer will help you stay active, support your health and wellness, now that you can’t use our facilities. Click the banner above to get started and we can't wait to welcome you back soon!

To help keep you fit and well during the Coronavirus Pandemic, we've collated this small list of simple, actionable lifestyle tips. You don't need to do anything drastic. Remember: small steps can add up to big results.

Aim to drink between 6 and 8 glasses of water per day. Further advice on staying hydrated can be found via the NHS website.

Make sure you are eating a variety of healthy foods, including at least 5 portions of fruit and veg. These can be fresh, frozen, canned, dried or juiced. More information can be found on the NHS website

Try not to look at any screens (including phones, TVs and laptops) for at least one hour before bed – this will make getting to sleep that little bit easier.

We may be closed for now but you can still do one of the Les Mills workouts we’ve linked to above. Alternatively, go out for a walk if you are able to do so. We'll be here for you as soon as we're able to reopen.

Where possible, avoid eating highly processed foods, such as crisps, cakes and biscuits. More information on this can be found on the NHS website.
