Intro to Junior Golf | 6-Week Courses
Edinburgh Leisure is delighted to introduce a brand-new junior golf programme for ages 7 – 12, designed to help young golfers learn the game, build confidence, and develop skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Back by popular demand after a sold-out run, we’ll be offering two introductory 6‑week courses starting this May – Golf Minis and Fairway Flyers – perfect for helping juniors take their first swing into the world of golf.
Led by our Community Golf Instructors, these courses take place in our comfortable indoor hall at Meadowbank Sports Centre, making golf accessible whatever the weather.
Fairway Flyers (10 – 12 years)
Our Fairway Flyers are confident with an energy, passion and enthusiasm for Golf. Our instructor focus is still on fun and skills development, whilst developing techniques and skills learned within a games based approach. Each child is given the opportunity to work within their ability level but taught in a group environment
Golf Minis (7 – 9 years)
Golf Minis is Edinburgh Leisure’s introduction to the fun world of Golf. With a primary focus on fun and skills development, our Golf Minis will enthuse participants for learning through light golf instruction and a games based approach to development, covering putting games, chipping/hitting games and team games. Children are introduced to the FUNdamentals of golf in an indoor setting with “golf course” layouts mapped out to encourage free play, imagination and their first contact with the sport.
