Movement for Memories
A physical activity referral programme for adults living with symptoms of dementia or memory loss
12 Weeks
Support for Individuals Living with Dementia
Movement for Memories is a 12 week physical activity programme designed to support people living with dementia to remain active.
Recognising the lengthy and challenging process of obtaining a dementia diagnosis, we also extend our support to those exhibiting signs and symptoms of early-stage memory loss or other cognitive impairments (such as mild cognitive impairment).
Our program includes access to various activities such as swimming, gym sessions, golf, tennis, and fitness classes, ensuring there is an option suitable for everyone.
What to Expect?
- Upon referral to Movement for Memories, a member of our Active Communities team will contact you to arrange an initial consultation. This session aims to identify your interests and determine the necessary support to facilitate your active participation.
- Participants will be given 6 months of subsidised access (£2 per activity) to gym facilities, swimming pools, and fitness classes, as well as a 70% discount on other activities.
- Bookable activities can only be reserved on the same day of participation.
