Evolve classes and Evolve open gym sessions are now available to anyone aged 16 or over. This includes access through the Evolve membership, opening up more opportunities for older teens and adults to take part in hybrid training at Meadowbank.
Evolve training classes
- HYROX – A mixed activity class incorporating exercises found within HYROX events such as sled push/pull, wall balls, ergs etc.
- Evolve Circuits – A 30 minute high intensity circuit training class.
- Evolve Hybrid – A mix of lighter resistance and cardiovascular exercises designed to improve fitness and athletic performance.
- Evolve Lifting – Learn fundamentals of free weights exercises, safe technique and progressions to build up your confidence in this area of training.
- Evolve W.O.D. – Workout of the Day, the instructors choice.
Open gym
Use our state of the art facilities to follow your own workout plan at your own pace with expert guidance on hand to offer assistance. Includes full access to all HYROX equipment.
Training classes
Specially created hybrid fitness classes, exclusively at Evolve Meadowbank, designed to cater for all fitness goals.
HYROX Training
HYROX specific classes for beginners and more experienced trainers.
Classes will incorporate all the exercises found within HYROX events including sled pulls, wall balls and ergs.
Track
Evolve Members can access both our indoor and outdoor athletics tracks at Meadowbank for further training, subject to availability.

Casual bookings
Non members can book a session or a class at Evolve on a pay as you go casual basis. New customers will be prompted to create an account during the checkout process.
Terms and conditions
- Evolve gym users must be 16 years of age or older
- The Evolve hybrid gym membership is a separate and individual membership product
- The Edinburgh Leisure Gym or Fitness Class memberships do not provide access to the Evolve hybrid gym.
- Access to the Evolve Hybrid Gym and classes are, however, included as part of a Full Fitness membership with Edinburgh Leisure
