Swimming is described as an essential life skill yet research suggests that approximately a third of children leave primary school unable to swim. Swimming is also recognised as one of the best forms of therapy for people with a disability. To support more people to enjoy the life aquatic we've developed a new swimming programme designed to help these two specific groups of people.
Jump In is an eight week programme of swimming lessons specifically designed to support pre-school children living in areas of high social deprivation who may not otherwise take part and S1 – S6 pupils with additional support needs who will greatly benefit from being in the water.
