![]() Sailing & Water Sports Port Edgar has years of experience teaching a variety of watersports to people with disabilities. While inevitably there are some limitations, as long as you don’t mind getting wet, you are sure to have lots of fun! Normally we don’t need to use any special equipment, as it isn’t essential to be able to move around in the boat. We therefore tend not to programme any special courses, but instead try to integrate applicants with mobility or sensory limitations into our normal lessons. Port Edgar is also the home to a Challenger Trimaran boat. Not only is it fast and fun, but it also can’t capsize! Courtesy of BP Oils PLC, and Edinburgh Leisure, it’s free for people with disabilities to use. We welcome bookings for the Challenger from people who can already sail, or alternatively it can be used on our level 2 courses. If you are thinking of trying any of our activities, or would just like some more information, please give us a call on 0131 331 3330, and our Principal or Senior Instructor will be happy to help. |
