Race training courses
Midweek Courses Racing dinghies is great fun and the techniques are easily mastered by anyone who has learnt the basic skills of sailing. These five day courses are intended to give an in-depth introduction to racing and will include the new RYA ‘Start Racing’ module within the syllabus. This includes; sail and boat trim, racing rules, mark rounding, starting, and finishing.Much of the course will be sailed in our fleet of Feva and Topper dinghies, but also uses two man boats for spinnaker and trapeze experience (if conditions permit). Previous experience: Applicants must be of at least RYA Junior Stage 3 or RYA Adult Level 2, with experience of helming single handlers, and at least 12 hours sailing since passing level 2.
