Q: Where can I attend Masters Coached Swimming Sessions during the closure?
A: Edinburgh Leisure will provide Masters Coached Swimming Sessions at Drumbrae Leisure Centre (DLC), Portobello Swim Centre (PSC), Dalry Swim Centre (DSC) Warrender Swim Centre (WSC) and Leith Victoria Swim Centre (LVSC). Please see class times listed below:

Q: Where can I do Aquafit classes during the closure?
A: Edinburgh Leisure offers Aquafit classes at nine other venues throughout the city including Warrender Swim Centre, Gracemount Leisure Centre and Dalry Swim Centre. Please check our fitness class time table for full deatils
Q: I enjoy taking my baby /child to the RCP as they have a great teaching pool and the water temperature is always warm. What other Edinburgh Leisure pools would be suitable for my child?
A: Portobello Swim Centre (small pool) and Leith Waterworld have a warmer temperature level, however all Edinburgh Leisure pools are suitable for babies and children.
Swimming Lessons
Q: What will happen to swimming lessons during the closure?
A: We are relocating the RCP swimming lesson programmes to Portobello Swim Centre, Leith Academy School and Braidburn School, please see our ‘Swimming Lesson Relocation Plans’ leaflet available at the RCP reception for full details. We are also introducing more lessons at other Edinburgh Leisure pools throughout the city.
Q: How do I book swimming lesson at Leith Academy School and Braidburn School?
A: Rebooking is now available at the RCP reception for classes starting week beginning Monday the 17th August .Thereafter all bookings will be taken at Portobello Swim Centre.
Q: What will happen to adult and child swimming lessons when the RCP closes?
A: From August 2009 there will be classes available at Portobello Swim Centre (Monday-Sunday), Leith Academy School (Saturdays) and Braidburn School (Sundays). These classes are also available at other Edinburgh Leisure pools throughout the city. Keep your eye's peeled for our 'Swimming Classes' brochure available online soon.
Q: Where can I attend adult swimming lessons when the RCP closes?
A: Adult swimming lessons are available at our other venues throughout the city. Please click here to find your nearest venue.
Q: What will happen to additional special needs (ASN) swimming lessons when the RCP closes?
A: We are relocating our ASN lessons to Braidburn Primary School which has a hydro therapy pool specifically designed for people with additional support needs and a warmer temperature level. Please pick up a copy of our ‘Swimming Lesson Relocation Plans’ leaflet from the RCP reception.
