![]() Membership Depending on how you take part in sport & leisure will determine the best type of membership with Edinburgh Leisure. We don't have a one size fits all option because there are so many different needs, that's why we've got pay & play, discounted access and different types of membership package too. Have a look at the options below and see which one works best for you. Do you go swimming 2 or 3 times per week on average? If so, you could be better off with a swim membership, which costs £26.50 per month. As a single swim costs £3.90, if you go three times per week you’re spending £46.80, so you could save over twenty pounds per month if you took the plunge and signed up for a swim membership. Even if you only go swimming twice a week you’d still save almost a fiver each month by taking out a membership...so something to think about! And for those of you who go swimming with your partners….we have a joint swim membership for only £47.50 per month, which is £23.75 each. You’d only need to go swimming six times each a month to make this a great deal. Are you a fitness class fiend? Our fitness classes range from £6 per 50-60 minute class at peak times* to £2.70 for concessions. As a 50-60 minute class costs £6 a time, you might want to consider our fitness class membership option for only £43.00 per month*…even if you only go a couple of times per week you’ll save a fiver a month, and if you go 3 times per week, you’ll save almost £30 per month. With over 500 classes per week to choose from, can you afford to miss out? Are you a gym bunny? Single gym sessions costs £6.80 whilst for £43.50 per month* (just over ten pounds a week) you can get a gym membership and go as many times as you want. Fitness classes and swimming are also included in the membership, so you could even branch out and try something new, or mix and match and you please. Even if you go just twice per week you’ll save £11.40 per month, and if you upped it to three times a week you’ll save £38.60 per month. Are you age 60 years or above? We have 60+ gym and fitness memberships £19.50 per month, so if you’re paying for a gym session or fitness class each time then you’d be much better off taking out a membership. You’d only need to do one activity per week to make it worthwhile. Are you aged 18-21? Our young adult standard membership only costs £31.50 per month and allows you to use any gym, swim in any of our pools and attend any of our fitness classes – they’re all included in the price! You’d only need to be doing a couple of activities per week for it to make sense financially. And we all know all that a few extra pennies in our wallet at the end of the month can go a long way! Are you of secondary school age? Did you know we have a junior membership for only £17.00 per month which gives you access to all gyms, fitness classes, and swimming pools? You could also use it to go out to the EICA: Ratho for a day, and give climbing a shot. How to save money with our Leisure Card: The Edinburgh Leisure Card is a discount system, which entitles customers to a wide range of leisure and sports activities throughout the city of Edinburgh. From 1st January 2010 a standard Leisure Card also entitles you to 25% off your activities too (where Leisure Card prices apply). We also provide free leisure cards for under 18’s and have concession leisure cards if you’re over 60 years old, a young adult between 18 and 20 years old, a student, or unemployed. We just need documentation to prove your status, a wee photo and that’s you. |
