The Royal Commonwealth Pool (or the Commie as it's known locally) will be re-opening this Spring following a major refurbishment and rennovation programme by The City of Edinburgh Council. This massive project has seen the A-listed building restored to former glory with a complete overhaul of the workings to bring you:

• The largest and longest swimming pool in Edinburgh with 50metres, 8 lanes and a normal depth of 2m,which can also be split into two 25metre pools with the use of a boom
• A 25metre teaching pool with moveable floor allowing for flexibility in the aquatic activities we can offer
• A 25metre diving pool with movable floor which also allows us to be flexible in the aquatic activities we can offer
• Purpose built dry dive area for land based diving training
• State of the art gym with over 70 pieces of new kit & plenty space for training
• Three fitness studios to bring over 90 classes per week
• Greatly enhanced changing village with family area, group change and changing for the gym, fitness classes and other dry activities too
• Refresh cafe with delicious hot and cold food, coffees, teas and sweet treats too
• A new, better Clambers children’s soft play area with party room
• Car park with drop of area, parent & child and disabled parking at front with additional parking and bike racks at the rear of the building.

We're so excited because now the Commie is coming!
