There are 16 outdoor acrylic courts available all year round, weather permitting!
The courts at the Meadows don’t need to be booked in advance, depending on availability anyone can simply turn up to pay and play. However, if you want to avoid disappointment courts can be booked up to 7 days in advance on 07766774529.

Opening times and hours
The courts will be staffed, and charges will apply, 9am - 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the playing season – April to September. However, the courts will remain open at all times, and you are welcome to play on the courts at no charge outwith the staffed times.

What's on at the Meadows?
With lots on offer at the Meadows from adult sessions, coaching programmes and holiday programmes - there's something for everyone.
Adult sessions
Adult sessions will resume at the Meadows from 21st April 09 and continue throughout the season until late September. The only exception to this schedule is the Meadows AM session which will cease temporarily over the school summer holidays: 8 July through to 26 August inclusive.
The aim of these sessions is to develop player’s tennis skills through informal coaching and match play. The sessions are delivered on a weekly basis, where you can simply turn up and play.
Generally, there is no need to book in advance, however the Tuesday evening sessions can be busy so to avoid disappointment it may be advisable to book ahead. Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance and can be made in person or by telephoning the Meadows on 07766774529.
Thursday tennis tournaments
Thursday Tennis Tournaments ( TTT ) will take place at The Meadows from 19.00 – 20.30 on the first Thursday of every month from May through to September: 7th May / 4th June / 2nd July / 6th August / 3rd September
The events will be of a social doubles format which will be open to both males and females of all levels. Places will be limited so there will be a requirement to book in advance. Bookings can be made in person or by telephoning the Meadows on 07766774529.
Coaching programme
Edinburgh Leisure offers a tennis coaching programme at the Meadows for children and young people aged 5 – 17 years. The courses are aimed at 3 different ability levels for each different age group. For a full listing of the term time coaching classes, please follow the link:
Level 1: For children with little experience of tennis and are still developing basic rallying and serving skills.
Level 2: For children who can serve overarm, maintain a rally, and have a basic knowledge of how to score.
Level 3: For players who have played club tennis and participated regularly in tournaments.
The term time programmes at the Meadows are delivered on a weekly basis, and the holiday programmes are delivered on a week long basis. The kids will get a great opportunity to learn and develop their tennis skills, meet new friends and have lots of fun. Bad weather arrangements
In the event of bad weather, refunds will only be issued if more than 50% of the course has been cancelled as a result of bad weather. If the weather is poor prior to your course starting, information about whether that day’s class will go ahead will be available from Craiglockhart Tennis Centre 45 minutes prior to the class start time.
