Charitable Trust
We are a ‘company limited by guarantee’, nothaving share capital. We have charitable status andare a ‘not for profit’ organisation. Because of themix of activities we undertake, a wholly ownedtrading subsidiary, Edinburgh Leisure Two, has been established for those activities, such as catering, which are not recognised as charitable by the Inland Revenue.
There are fifteen members of the company who alsoserve as Directors. The members have the ultimate control of the company subject to providing andoperating the services in accordance with a funding agreement as agreed with the City of Edinburgh Council, our main funders.
