What's happening at Glenogle

With October fast approaching we thought it was time for an update on what’s happening at Glenogle. As indicated previously, we will close at 6:15pm on Sunday 19^th October 2008 to enable the refurbishment works to begin. We expect our new and improved centre to re-open in spring 2010.

Pre-closure events

As a thank you for your loyalty, we will be holding some fun events in the run up to the closure. Fun week From 13 – 18 October we’ll have a whole host of fun events throughout our last week of opening, including:

• Aqua ceilidhs everyday between Monday and Thursday. These will take place at 10am on Monday to Wednesday, and at 7pm on Thursday.
• Fun swim sessions with our inflatable aqua run on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.

No need to stop your healthy lifestyle!

It is important to us that you remain active and healthy during the closure period so we do hope you will continue to use Edinburgh Leisure venues and services. Leith Victoria Swim Centre and Ainslie Park Leisure Centre* are both just over 1 mile away, so there’s plenty of choice in the local area (*as part of our continual refurbishment programme, Ainslie Park gym will be closed from 16th – 21st October, inclusive, for a gym upgrade, but all other non-gym facilities will remain open as normal).

Please ask a member of the team for advice on where to go to keep up your active, happy lifestyle or check out our activity and timetable search in the top left corner of every page. The website will also have regular news on the refurbishment but if you’d like to be personally updated, either by email or post, please remember to fill in one of our ‘keep in touch’ cards.
