Port Edgar Splash
Splash! Courses provide a fun-filled introduction to all the many watersports and land-based activities that take place at Port Edgar. These include sailing various types of dinghy, Kayaking, Canoeing, Raft building, Beach Trip, Powerboat ride, Archery, Orienteering, climbing wall, lots of games, etc. Warning – getting wet is guaranteed!
Little Splash! Is aimed at younger children coming for the first time.
Big Splash! Is for slightly older children or those returning for a second visit, when they will do similar activities, but at a slightly higher level.

Junior Sailing Courses
These courses are intended for children who have little or no previous sailing experience, who will hopefully attain the Sailing Stage 2 qualification of the Royal Yachting Association by the end of the week. A wide variety of other courses are also available throughout the season.
Do they need to be able to swim?
All children attending courses at Port Edgar must be able to swim 25m wearing a life-jacket. We do not require any significant level of swimming ability, but it is important that children are confident in the water.

Course information
The courses are always kept flexible due to the changing weather and tidal conditions we experience in Scotland, however at our Little Splash camps we have kayaking, canoeing, orienteering, dinghy sailing, beach trips, powerboat rides, mountain biking, archery, raft building and much, much more.
At the Big splash camps the children can enjoy all the Little Splash activities as well as sailing on the Zephyrs, Toppers, Wayfarers or Catamarans and powerboating.
Again camp activities are dependant on the weather and tidal conditions, but if you would like more details please contact Port Edgar.
Please note that for the holiday camps, kayaking activity may be substituted with land based activities if there is heavy rain or strong winds.
