Everyone knows that Craiglockhart is THE place to go for tennis, but what about kayaking?

From May to September we run kayaking classes for 8-14 year olds which are all about having a good time and teaching you the basics. All classes are based on our superb Craiglockhart Pond just next to the sports centre. And if you give it a try and think you’ve got what it takes to become an expert, this will help you on your way.

Kayaking Holiday Camps
Kayaking camps are becoming increasingly popular so don't miss out on your chance to get in on the action. The camps are a great chance to learn a new sport and make a few new friends at the same time. The half day camps run every week (Monday to Friday) throughout the summer holidays and our coaches will teach you all the key skills such as water safety, launching your kayak, paddling techniques and disembarkment (how to get out of your kayak!).

But most of all they are there to make sure you have a great time, so the camps include a variety of exciting games!

What do I need to bring?

• A full change of clothes
• Towel
• Spare trainers
• Hat / gloves
• Hot drink
• Sun lotion

You’ll be pleased to hear that your wetsuit, spraytop and buoyancy aid are provided!

Please note that kayaking activities may be replaced with land based activities if there is heavy rain or strong winds.
