Meadowbank Sports Centre has the following facilities available.
Gym and Free Weights
The Gym boasts an extensive range of equipment and has expert advice on hand. Customers can also receive their own personalised fitness programmes to ensure they achieve their desired goals. A separate Free Weights Room is available for accredited users.
Climbing Wall
A stimulating experience for all levels of climbers. The wall is approx. 80 ft x 40 ft with many intriguing features including slabs, overhangs, cracks, corners and funnels is well equipped with finger and toe holds. Bona-fide groups can book providing they name a responsible coach who can take charge. Please note that you must be a qualified climber to use this facility. Racquet Sports Courts
Several Squash, Badminton and Table Tennis courts available for hire, bookable 7 days in advance
Stadium with Athletic Track
Main stadium provides 400m eight lane athletics track and throwing area. Grass area within the track can accommodate a variety of activities including Football, Rugby, Hockey and much more. Stand seating for 7,000. An ideal venue for Music concerts offering a capacity of around 15,000 spectators.
Velodrome
A 250m outdoor track. During summer months various (Affiliated) Cycling Clubs use the facility for training. Contact reception for details of current Clubs. For further details contact Duty Manager on 0131-661-5351
All Weather Pitches
3 seven-a-side outdoor artificial pitches or full size football/hockey pitch, floodlit and ideal for play all year round.
Sports Hall
Main halls have a 3 stage system of artificial lighting giving illumination for general use, club matches or championships. Halls 1 & 2 additional lighting is installed directly over areas which may be used by boxing or wrestling rings. Hall 1- largest hall at 36.58m x 33.83m x 9.14m high with 900 permanent seats and additional 1400 bleacher seats. Many configurations of temporary seating to suit your needs. Hardwood flooring and timber ceiling provides good acoustics for both speech and music. Hall 2 – is 36.58m x 24.38m x 9.14m high with bleacher seating for approx 700 and variety of seating arrangements on floor level. Hall 3 – is 36.58m x 16.3m x 9.14m high with no fixed seating.
Fitness Studio
Over 50 fitness classes per week including Bodyattack, Bodybalance, Bodycombat and Bodypump. Something for everyone with a range of classes adapted to different needs and levels.
Combat Sports Dojo
Three combined sport areas are available for competitions or club use on an extended let basis
Youth Zone
"The House" an exciting hang out for children and young people. Come along and try out a range of activities, surf the web or have fun on the playstations, fully accessible with many items of adaptive IT equipment specifically for the disabled user. The House is ideal for community group bookings.
Car Parking
Clearly marked free parking for over 150 cars with disabled parking and access.
Concourse
Situated under the main stand, a versatile enclosed foyer for spectators, an ideal area for indoor athletics training, exhibitions, antique fairs, trade shows and festivals. Available floor area 115m x 9m with access to male/female toilets. Entry can be regulated by turnstile gates or easy access for event organisers can be arranged.
Gymnastics Hall
A range of gymnastics classes available for Parent & Toddler through to Club level.
Conference & Meeting Rooms

Outdoor Basketball court
Ideal for summer games.
The Rainbow Room
The Rainbow room is suitable for all toddlers and children up to the age of 5 years. The room is open daily from 08.00hrs to 20.00hrs and is also available for block bookings i.e. nurseries/mother and toddler groups.
