Child Protection

Q: If my child is attending a coached activity, do I have to stay?
A: We recommend that all children be accompanied by an adult and for children 8 years and under that you remain at the facility.

However, we have an initiative called ‘Why Wait?’ which allows cheaper access to our Gyms while your child takes part in their activity.

Q: Can I take photographs of my child during activities?
A: Edinburgh Leisure will allow the use of photography, filming or videoing if the request can be managed at the time.

Permission must be sought beforehand.

Q: What would happen to my child if he or she had an accident?
A: We will offer immediate First Aid and access to emergency services for injuries incurred within our sites.

The First Aider will ensure that all accidents, no matter how minor, will be reported on Edinburgh Leisure’s Accident Report Form.

Q: Do you have a Child Protection Policy?
A: Yes. A copy of the Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy is available upon request.
