Q: When are they open?
A: Our 6 courses are open all year round, and tee times are available from 7am until dusk, however this can be affected by daylight conditions.

Q: Do I have to be a member?
A: No. All out courses operate on a ‘pay as you play’ basis.

Q: Are season tickets available?
A: Yes. Season Tickets are available for all our courses. You can choose from a range of options from Junior Season Tickets to unlimited access to all 6 courses, all year round. For more information contact Edinburgh Golf on 0131 650 1001.

Q: Do I need to book?
A: No. Booking is not mandatory, however we advise that you do book, as our courses are often extremely busy, particularly at weekends and public holidays, and we cannot guarantee that a tee time will be available.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: We have a relaxed dress code. All we ask is that you wear appropriate footwear, and that tops should be worn at all times.

Q: Do I need to have a handicap to play?
A: No – you do not require a golf handicap to play any of our courses.

Q: Can I hire clubs and trolleys?
A: Yes – clubs and trolleys are available at all 6 courses.

Q: Do you offer golf lessons?
A: Yes. Edinburgh Golf’s coaching programme offers people the opportunity to try out the game with an emphasis on fun and enjoyment. Summer Coaching takes place at Craigentinny Golf School, next to the Golf Course, and the Winter Indoor coaching takes place throughout the City.

Our PGA Coaches facilitate all of our courses, ensuring the highest standards of tuition. Beginners will be taught the basics of grip, swing and stance as well as etiquette and awareness on course. Courses for Intermediate and Advanced players are tailored to reflect their abilities. All equipment is provided.

For further details get in touch with Golf Development on 0131 652 2178 or email mail@edinburghleisure.co.uk.

Q: Can I buy golf goods at your courses?
A: Yes, we have a variety of golf clothing, equipment and accessories for sale at all 6 courses.

Q: What is the City of Edinburgh Golf Club?
A: This is a Scottish Golf Union affiliated Golf Club set up to provide opportunities for
people who have recently taken up the game, or come to the City and are looking to
play more advanced golf in organised events across our golf courses. For more information get in touch with the Secretary on 0131 652 2178 or mail@edinburghleisure.co.uk
