Squash is an excellent cardiovascular workout. In one hour of squash, you could burn between 700 and 1000 calories, which is significantly more than most other sports. It's a great upper and lower body workout, using the legs as you run around court and bend and stretch for a shot and the arms and body to swing the racquet.

We've got courts available to hire at Craiglockhart and Meadowbank. The courts at Craiglockhart Leisure Centre are the newest in the city and are of the latest design with glass backs for a fantastic playing experience.

You can book a squash court for 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions and if you need equipment, it's available for hire at reception.
