Relocated People Access Programme - Support for Migrants and Refugees
Our Relocated People Access (RPA) programme is run in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council’s Migrations and Refugee team. The RPA programme helps to support refugees, migrants and asylum seekers to access Edinburgh Leisure services to support their physical and mental wellbeing.
Most relocated people are not permitted to work and have no access benefits and rely on local government aid. As a result, accessing Edinburgh Leisure discount schemes is often not possible. Our RPA cards offer 6 months free access to a number of our activities.
The RPA programme supports one of the main principles of the New Scots strategy from the Scottish Government – that it is key to help and welcome refugees and asylum seekers to access services within our communities so they can participate and be included in Scottish society. Helping to further strengthen our cohesive and diverse communities.
